Uncontrolled Asthma- asthma remains uncontrolled when patients are experiencing any of the following symptoms
1- frequent symptoms such as cough, shortness of breath
2- frequent use of rescue inhalers
3- symptoms disturbing sleep
4- any kind of activity limitation which includes inability to do sports and other vigorous activities
5-experiencing 'asthma attacks' leading to emergency visits or hospitalization.
these patients need to be evaluated properly to understand the various possible causes for uncontrolled asthma and their treatment escalated to bring asthma under control.
