Our Story

Jairam Respiratory Health Mission (JRHM) is super specialty chest clinic started with a vision to provide whole range of diagnostic and therapeutic services for respiratory illness to the people of Bihar and Jharkhand. Pulmonary medicine in state of Bihar is in infancy with very poor infrastructure and expertise. Large number of patients are forced to go to other centers outside Bihar due to unavailability of proper care and expertise. Jairam Respiratory Health Mission is established to address this unmet need of people in the state. Dr Saket Sharma is senior Pulmonologist with vast experience (more than 14 years) of treating difficult respiratory illness. Dr Saket Sharma has done his MBBS from Government Mohan kumar mangalam medical college, Salem. He did his post graduate ( MD-TB & Respiratory diseases) from prestigious Bananas Hindu university, where he was rank 1 in his batch. Following his post graduate training, he did senior residency in National Institute of Tuberculosis & Respiratory diseases (NITRD, New Delhi). In NITRD Delhi, he was actively involved in teaching post graduate DNB students. He got in to DM Pulmonary and critical care super specialty course in Safdarjung hospital and Vardhman Mahavir medical college, New Delhi, in year 2013, where he stood first in all india entrance examination. Completed his DM course in 2016. Following his DM course he decided to work in Bihar, his own state and people. In past three year he has worked as consultant in Paras hospital, Patna and Ruban memorial hospital. He joined Indira Gandhi institute of medical sciences, Patna as assistant professor where he worked for two year. he was instrumental in developing the various services in the department such as Bronchoscopy, various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. A very significant and pioneering work on lung cancer in Bihar was done under his guidance. Now he has started, his own super specialty chest clinic in Patna with objective of providing evidence based and affordable treatment to the people of Bihar and Jharkhand.
