Evaluation of cough - cough is among the most common complaint for which patient seek medical consultation. Cause of cough can be as simple as viral upper respiratory tract infection to serious lung pathology such as tuberculosis/lung cancer. Most commonly cough is classified on basis of duration of symptoms. Any cough lasting for less than three weeks is considered to be acute cough.
